Produced from 1893 to 1901 and bares the effigy of Queen Victoria when she was 78 years old wearing a cornet and veil. This last period of her reign was the most prosperous and peaceful period of the British Empire. As this is the last of the Queen Victoria Sovereigns it has outstanding historical significance. In addition to this significance it was also the first coin to ever be minted at the now renowned Perth Mint in Western Australia in 1899.
The legend reads, translated from latin: Victoria, by the grace of God, Queen of the Britons, Defender of the Faith, Empress of India

Reverse: St George slaying the dragonStruck at the Perth mint.
