This very large and scarce 5 pound gold sovereign was produced for one year only and only 20,405 were ever minted, making it a highly sought after gold coin. It features the last ever portrait of Queen Victoria.
The legend reads, translated from latin: Victoria, by the grace of God, Queen of the Britons, Defender of the Faith, Empress of India
Obverse: design depicts Victoria older veiled head left.
