According to Chinese legend, the Great Race was orchestrated by the emperor to assign positions in the lunar calendar. Through cunning, the Snake secured sixth place. Those born under the Lunar Snake in 2025, 2013, 2001, 1989, and every twelfth preceding year are believed to inherit the Snake’s virtues of wisdom, independence, and leadership qualities.
Each coin is legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965. This coin has a limited mintage of 3,500.
The prestigious Year of the Snake coins showcase a snake elegantly coiled among bamboo. The design features the Chinese character for ‘snake,’ the inscription ‘SNAKE 2025,’ and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
Each coin is housed in an elegant red display case with a magnetic lid, embellished with gold lettering and a geometric design. This case comes with a beautifully illustrated shipper depicting the tale of the Snake’s placement as the sixth zodiac animal. Included is a numbered certificate of authenticity.
