Product Description:
Celebrate the iconic connection between James Bond and the Aston Martin DB5 with this exclusive coin. First appearing in the 1964 film Goldfinger, the stylish ‘silver birch’ DB5 is forever linked with Bond’s high-octane adventures.
Enhanced by Q Branch, this car was equipped with impressive features such as a tracking device, tyre slashers, a smoke screen, oil slicks, a bullet-proof rear shield, and front-mounted machine guns. Bond’s ejector seat was a particularly memorable feature for dispatching unwelcome guests.
The DB5 made its debut in Thunderball (1965) and continued to make appearances in GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, Casino Royale, Skyfall, Spectre, and No Time To Die.
Struck from 1oz of 99.99% pure silver by The Perth Mint, this coin is issued as legal tender under the Government of Tuvalu. The release is limited to 5,000 pieces.
The reverse of the coin features a vibrant depiction of Sean Connery leaning on the Aston Martin DB5’s bonnet. The design includes the coloured inscription ‘JAMES BOND’, the 007 gun logo, and iconic spiral gun barrel graphics from the franchise's signature opening sequence.
The obverse side displays the Jody Clark effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, along with the coin’s weight, purity, denomination, and 2024 year-date.
Each coin is presented in a bespoke case with 007-themed packaging and comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity. The certificate includes reproductions of movie production designer Sir Kenneth Adam’s original sketches for the iconic gadgets.
